The Cycle Show 2018
Earlier this month, we attended the Cycle Show at the NEC in Birmingham.
Bold & bright high-vis equipment is eye catching at the best of times, but our stand looked superb thanks to Purple Creative who designed and built our stand.
We were delighted to see so many customers (both old and new) getting excited about our products. Unsurprisingly, our fully reflective rucksack covers flew off the shelves when we sold products on Sunday. A lot of people also commented on having seen our spoke reflectors out on the roads & how impressed they were with them! The spoke reflectors are a best seller for us in the United States and in Germany, so hopefully you’ll be seeing more of then on the streets in the UK soon!
All in all, we had a fantiastic time and can’t wait to be back again next year!
International Walk to School Month
October is #InternationalWalktoSchoolMonth. This is an opportunity for children to join hundreds of thousands of pupils across the globe celebrating the walk to school. It's an environmentally healthy option and is great for your lungs too!

Bury Clarion Women's Night Ride
This year, we were thrilled to be the sponsor for the Bury Breeze Network Women’s Night Ride which raises money for Bury Hospice. The HSBC Breeze Network offers bike rides for women of all abilities across the UK. The Night Ride was organised by members of the Bury Clarion Cycing Club, in particulat Lucia Cronin who worked tirelessly to make the event possible.
Our mission statement is making people visible, so it made sense for us to reach out to the team organising the event to see how we could help. We supplied hi-viz vests for marshalls and custom-made reflective stickers to help guide participants around the course.
In the spotlight.
It was fantastic to see over 60 women participating in the race (completing either 30 or 60 miles!) on a chilly October evening and, even better, we spotted some of our products being worn amongst them!
It was a great event and we are glad to be able to support a local club and charity!
It was great to see riding marshalls wearing our 3M high visibility jackets.

Hi-vis vs. Reflective - What's the difference?
Many of our products are made from a combination of fluorescent and reflective materials. Fluorescent colours are more visible than reflective clothing during the day, and the reverse is true at night.
We want you to understand when to wear our products so that you can be visible day & night!
National Road Victim Month
August is #NationalRoadVictimMonth, where we focus on road deaths and injuries & their impact upon families and communities around the world.
Almost 4,000 people are killed and many hundreds of thousands are injured on roads throughout the world every day.
If you work in close proximity to road traffic, wearing high visibility equipment can reduce the risk of accidents. We work to ensure that Salzmann products offer you the best protection possible.

3M Scotchlite
Many of our products are made with 3M Scotchlite reflective material - but what exactly does that mean?
3M Scotchlite is retroreflective; it helps the eye perceive objects in low-light conditions when illuminated by a light source. It bounces light back to its source, meaning that if several light sources are shining on the material at night, each of these is able to see light being reflected back to them.
The benefits of wearing our 3M Scotchlite products for cycling or running on an evening are clear - you’ll be much more visible to other road users, which reduces the risk of accidents and collisions!
